Tepecik Training and Research Hospital, which provides service with a capacity of 910 beds, was opened to service on October 6, 1971 as a hospital belonging to the 500-bed Social Insurance Institution in the district whose name is Yenişehir within an area of 10.000 m2. When it was first opened, it started to serve with 6 surgeons, 6 internal medicine, 1 urology, 1 orthopedic and 1 specialist.
In 1972, the Children's Hospital was put into service with its 200 staff bed. Gastroenterology and Neurosurgery services started to serve in 1973, and intensive care service was established in 1974 as a separate unit. In addition to the physical development of the hospital, the Training and Research Hospital has gained its identity in 1976, and assistant education has started in the internal medicine and surgery branches.
The hospital, which currently operates on an area of 49,000 m2 and approximately 57,000 m2 of indoor space, was transferred to the Ministry of Health on February 5, 2005. In the process of earthquake reinforcement activities, 220-bed Pediatric Diseases Clinics, adult and child emergency restructuring in an area of 2.400 m2, 55-bed intensive care unit, 16-hall operating room unit, child polyclinics, new pathology laboratory building, garden landscape and multi-purpose hall to be used in disaster situations was built. As of the end of September 2007, a central laboratory was established on an area of approximately 3,000 m2. New central imaging units created on an area of approximately 3,000 m2 were added and renewed together with the Nuclear Medicine Department devices.As of November 2, 2012, Public Hospitals Institution started to serve under the Northern General Secretariat of the Izmir Province Public Hospitals Association. Ekrem Hayri Üstündağ Gynecology and Obstetrics Hospital became Tepecik Training and Research Hospital Konak Additional Service Building on November 2, 2012 with the law of the Public Hospitals Association.In 2013, polyclinic elevators, new sterilization unit and surgical endoscopy unit were completed.
S.S.K., which started to serve the Izmirites and the entire Aegean Region in 1969. As Ege Maternity and Gynecology Training and Research Hospital, it was connected to Tepecik Training and Research Hospital in 2012 with Decree No. 663.
Renovation works started in the hospital as of September 2015 continued in the 2016 snake. In this context, services, warehouses, kitchen, adult and child emergency service, Gastroenterology Endoscopy Unit, Internal Medicine Intensive Care Unit roof, exterior, infrastructure have been renewed and garden social areas have been improved by making garden arrangements.Founded in Istanbul, Turkey under the protocol signed between the Ministry of Health and the University of Health Sciences Health Sciences University connected to the Tepecik Training and Research Hospital, University Hospital has gained status in 2016.

ÇİDEM (Child Hearing Assessment and Adolescent Health Center)
The building, which served as the State Railway Hospital from 1951 to 2003, also serves as the Child Hearing Assessment and Adolescent Health Center (ÇİDEM) 3 years after it was transferred to Tepecik Training and Research Hospital in 2004.
ÇEMATEM (Child Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment Center)
The first ÇEMATEM (Child Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment Center) of the Aegean Region started to serve in a 4-storey building in Tepecik Training and Research Hospital in Buca Gynecology and Pediatrics Hospital campus in May 2015. In ÇEMATEM, mainly inpatient and outpatient treatment of young people aged 18 and under is used for addictive substance use and related problems.
ÇAMDİBİ SEMT CLINIC
Çamdibi District Polyclinic, which has been opened in an area of 1000 square meters in the Çamdibi district of Bornova District of İzmir, serves the people of the region with its polyclinic, x-ray and laboratory services in 14 branches.
TEPECİK ONCOLOGY
After the coup attempt on 15 July 2016, Şifa University Hospital was closed on 23 July 2016 pursuant to the Decree Law on Measures Taken under the State of Emergency, and it was decided to continue the health service by the Ministry of Health. The hospital was transferred to Health Sciences University Izmir Tepecik Training and Research Hospital on July 25, 2016.
KARŞIYAKA SEMT CLINIC
Construction of Karşıyaka District Polyclinic started in September 2018. The polyclinic, the construction of which ended in February 2019, has 7800 m2 land and 1000 m2 closed area. The polyclinic building serves as a qualified polyclinic where 22 outpatient rooms, blood collection units, ultrasound service, radiology service and small surgical interventions can be performed. It has a parking lot for patients.
BORNOVA EDUCATIONAL FAMILY HEALTH CENTER
Bornova Education Family Health Center started its activities in Atatürk Neighborhood on 01.12.2017. In our center, which tries to provide comprehensive and holistic health services to individuals around the center, in addition to primary care services, monthly public training meetings are organized by clinical physicians and contributes to the education of the local people.
COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH CENTER (TRSM)
Tepecik Training and Research Hospital Community Mental Health Center (TRSM) was put into service on the ground floor of the building used as Konak Provincial Health Directorate in January 2016. It provides services with 1 Mental Health and Diseases Specialist, 3 Nurses / Health Officers, 1 Psychologist, 1 Social Work Specialist, 1 Occupational Therapist, 1 Medical Secretary, 1 Security, 1 Personnel.
Individuals who have recently been discharged from the hospital or who need treatment and psychosocial support due to psychosis or other severe mental disorders that are at risk of hospitalization or are severely reduced in functionality due to a severe mental disorder are recorded at the center for treatment purposes.
