Tepecik Training and Research Hospital General Surgery Clinic is one of the first clinics of SSK Tepecik Hospital, which was established in 1972 as a full-fledged service hospital. In 1975, Op.Dr. Rauf Ekmekçi, Op.Dr. Fahrettin Şengel and Op.Dr. He started to provide specialty training as the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Surgery clinics under the leadership of Ahmet Namık Öztin. In 1994, Assoc. Organ transplantation unit was established under the responsibility of Alp Gürkan. The clinic has a total of 82 beds. Organ Transplant Service has 17 beds. The center serves with 7 polyclinics, 6 in the hospital and 1 in Konak district polyclinic. In the clinic, education officer Prof.Dr. Under the leadership of Cengiz Aydın, developments in the field of general surgery are closely followed. As a result, all surgical techniques applied in the world are successfully applied in surgical diseases including advanced laparoscopic applications, oncological surgeries and organ transplantation. The clinic has an intensive care service with 7 beds and 2 levels. Again, all endoscopic procedures including ERCP are successfully performed in the clinic's Endoscopy unit. There is an intensive patient application to the clinic. An extensive in-service training program is implemented to provide this intense service in an error-free and top-quality manner. The clinic currently employs 3 teaching staff, 3 chief assistants, 20 specialists and 7 assistant physicians, as well as 71 assistant health professionals, including 35 nurses, 6 medical secretaries, 30 cleaning staff.
